Buffy 1x10 - Nightmares

BTVS Episode 1x10 "Nightmares" Review
Rating 7/10
I think this was a super interesting concept for an episode but I'm not sure I was sold on the execution. Standout scenes were the ones with Buffy and her dad, that scene was so sad even knowing it wasn't real, because you know that means Buffy is scared of being a burden on her parents, and also the scene where Buffy gets buried alive. I felt like the stuff with the kid and ogre was just a little confusing? I think I'm disappointed because there was very little explanation for why all of this was actually happening other than "we live on a Hellmouth". The dream scenarios were fun at first, but pretty predictable and got a little boring. I knew it was gonna be about nightmares as soon as Buffy showed up for her History test. Points for showing Buffy as a vampire though, cause that was pretty cool. Other than that this episode felt extremely filler and didn't stand out much to me, other than getting to see Buffy's dad.
Characters:
- **Buffy:** MVP because I just felt sorry for her all episode. The way that most people's worst fears were ultimately harmless/just embarrassing, whereas hers were literally world ending... yeah that sucks.
- Buffy's dad: It's cool that we got to see him but he didn't actually do much. Will we see him more in future, I wonder?
