BTVS Episode 2x10 "What's My Line (Part 2)" Review

Rating: 9/10

I think this was a pretty good conclusion, had some parts I was ehh on, but a lot of parts I loved. I think the main criticism is the assassins, again, they just didn't seem that threatening but they were talked up way too much. I just find it stupid how Spike was like I'll call them on Buffy because she's threatening my plans, like why would you not call them months ago if you want her dead, and also then they just didn't even do anything more than a regular vampire/monster. The first one did nothing, the gun lady was boring, the only remotely interesting one was the bug guy and he couldn't even manage to kill Xander, like? I liked that one of the people Buffy was looking at suspiciously was actually an assassin though, kinda showed she was right to be nervous and paranoid. I also liked the fakeout with it seeming like Kendra was an assassin, but it was kinda funny cause I thought she was the most competent one only for her to not actually even be one. Seeing another Slayer was, of course, the best part of the episode. I love the explanation of her being called because Buffy technically died, like that makes sooo much sense. This ep also had Xander/Cordelia FIRST KISS. You guys already know I've been shipping this for ages now, I was literally so excited when they kissed, I was freaking out, and then totally called the second kiss at the end. I kinda hope they don't become a couple right away, cause I love a slowburn, and I'm a little nervous that they won't be as fun to watch if they officially get together but we'll have to see where they go from here. Speaking of slowburn, on the other hand, this show has teased me so much with short Oz appearances that it's actually pissing me off but I think we are FINALLY getting somewhere THANK GOD. Why is his hair suddenly brown though? Very intriguing ending too, I'm a little bit scared of what a powerful Drusilla could do.Characters:

- **Kendra**: She was such a good foil to Buffy, cause Buffy still hasn't really fully accepted her duty, so it's cool to see someone who is so serious about it. It made me really sad to hear Kendra's backstory, and the fact that Buffy was so rude to her at first, because this would be a great opportunity to share her burden with someone. I think Buffy kinda realised she is lucky in some ways. I'm really glad that they were friendly by the end, but I'm sad that Kendra just ended up leaving, like why can't she just stay in Sunnydale and help Buffy, but I get why that wouldn't really work for the show. Also, does her being taken away from her parents when she was young imply that there's multiple Slayers-in-training ready to step in when the current Slayer dies?

- Drusilla: So I was obviously wrong about Drusilla not caring about what Angel did, it just felt like in the previous episode she wasn't that angry at him, but I guess she was just holding it back until she had the opportunity to mess with him. They still haven't really explained what was wrong with her, like I understand Angel caused her to go mad but how does that work exactly with her being weak and then strengthened by a ritual, I don't really understand and I can't tell if it's going to get explained more or not. Interesting that she got cured without Angel having to die (very convenient for the story lol). I wonder what she's gonna be like from now on, and if her Seer ability will be stronger too.

Out of context notes: "'im both a winter and a summer' the way shes actually an autumn" "what in the bdsm" "why dont they just take shifts" "not the accent turning irish" "oh buffy no... no... no... dont do that..." "angel king of ragebaiting"
