BTVS Episode 2x21 "Becoming (Part 1)" Review
Rating 9/10
Great episode, I loved that we got to see so much backstory and lore. My favourite scene was the Drusilla confession scene, but it made me so sad seeing how she just wanted to be good. Also, so cool that she already had Seer abilities even before she became a vampire. However, hated the Angel stalking Buffy scene. It was really giving white van. I like Whistler, but it also is kind of stupid to me that Angel had to be told to do something more than just crawl around sewers eating rats. Like, get a job. Anyway, I am SO HAPPY that they found Jenny's disc, oh my god. I personally think that they should at least attempt to save Angel's soul, and I don't like that Xander was condescending and rude about it. The decision should honestly just be left up to Buffy and it's not really anyone else's business. Like they can give their opinions, but at least be respectful about it, because it's a complicated situation. We got to see Kendra again this episode... very briefly. RIP. I love Mr Pointy. Not really surprised about her death, kinda expected it ever since she appeared again, but very sad that we are losing an interesting character and our only POC. Drusilla was cunty though. Honestly, not very interested at all in the tomb situation because it just feels like a recycled Anointed One/Judge. Curious to see how necessary it actually even is in part 2.
Out of context notes: "medium rare"
